Fall Early College Registration is Open!

Hi LEAH Families,

I hope you’re enjoying your summer! As you’re beginning to think ahead to the upcoming school year, I wanted to let you know that registration for Houghton’s Fall Early College courseshttps://www.houghton.edu/early-college/ is now open!

Early College is a great opportunity for homeschool students to earn affordable college credit while still in high school, explore potential majors, and experience college-level coursework in a supportive Christian learning environment. Most of our courses are offered 100% online and asynchronous, giving students the flexibility to complete coursework around their homeschool schedule and other activities.

A few reminders about our Early College program:

  • Courses are $60 per credit hour, making them an affordable way to earn transferable college credit.
  • Students may begin taking Early College courses after completing their sophomore year of high school.
  • Most courses are 3-credit classes and are designed to fit well into a homeschool schedule.
  • Fall classes are beginning to fill, so we encourage students to submit their applications and register early to secure a spot in the courses they’re interested in.

I also wanted to remind families about Houghton’s Direct Admit Program. Students who participate in our Early College program and later choose to attend Houghton as full-time undergraduate students can benefit from a simplified admissions process. Direct Admit students enjoy a seamless transition to Houghton, making it even easier to continue the college journey they’ve already started.

Whether your student plans to attend Houghton or another college after graduation, Early College can be an excellent way to get ahead, strengthen a college application, and gain confidence in college-level coursework before graduating from high school.

If you have any questions about course selection, the application process, or whether Early College is a good fit for your student, I’d be happy to help! Feel free to reply to this email or schedule a time to connect.

We look forward to partnering with your family this fall!

Blessings,
Morgan Anderson
