Guided Nature Journaling: The Beauty of Spirals

Guided Nature Journaling: The Beauty of Spirals
Virtual Workshop: 11.5.26 | 1pm

Discover the beauty of spirals in nature through the fascinating world of snails! In this guided nature journaling demo, students will explore the Fibonacci sequence and the Golden Spiral found throughout creation before creating a beautiful snail journal page.

Together we’ll observe the unique features of snails, discuss how their shells protect them, and learn how simple mathematical patterns appear in nature. Students will be guided step by step in sketching, inking, and painting their own snail while practicing observation, shading, and watercolor techniques.

This interdisciplinary class blends nature study, art, and creative journaling, encouraging students to slow down, observe closely, and appreciate the beauty of the natural world.

Recommended Supplies: Art journal, watercolors, paint brushes, fine liners, pencils

Register students ages 8-15 to receive a Zoom link for the workshop.
