Lightlab Extra Activity #9

Rainbows aren’t only formed by clear prism-like objects, but through diffraction gratings, as well. The display of fireworks in the photo on the right is from a light bulb behind a pair of the diffraction glasses shown on the left. To understand how they work and to learn about spectrometers, access our new tutorial, “LightLab_Extra9_Diffraction.”

Also, we are offering Homeschool New York / NYS LEAH members a pair of cool diffraction glasses for each Lightlab book purchased. Contact us lightlabetc@gmail.com with a proof of purchase, and we will mail you the free glasses. Click here to buy.
