Houghton University is excited to announce our new Guaranteed Admission program for Homeschooled Students! We value homeschooling at Houghton, and now qualifying students who take early college courses with us will be eligible for Guaranteed Admission to Houghton University. That means no entrance exams, no hoops to jump through, but a streamlined admission process for your student to continue their Christ-centered education on our main campus.
The specifics: students who take an Early College course online with us and receive a B or better in the course will be automatically offered admission to our on-campus undergraduate programs. This offer will also include the annually renewable $1000 Hal and Sheila Heiner Early College Scholarship and places emphasis on the achievements of homeschooled students without requiring a separate entrance exam or GED. Guaranteed Admission assumes that the student’s overall homeschool high school transcript meets our regular admission requirements and the student fully completes their high school studies.
