This year, we’re hosting monthly one-day events in Albany to help prepare for our big Legislative Day on May 23rd! For February, we’re focusing on the Sports Bill, which would make it legal for homeschool students to participate in Varsity and Junior Varsity Interscholastic Sports.
We need families to join together for several meetings with key Senate and Assembly sponsors and to visit the offices of all the members of the Senate and Assembly Education Committees. This is a key step in our strategy to get this ball over the goal line!
This is also a great opportunity for parents, teens, and kids to learn about the legislative process together and to put real homeschoolers in front of our elected officials and their staff.
