Many homeschoolers are relishing in the completion of another year: testing is complete and paperwork submitted. Maybe your family is rejoicing in the final chapter of your journey in the form of an official graduation. I am sure that even those who do school year-round are relaxing in a less rigid schedule and are soaking up the sun, planting gardens, or doing whatever brings joy to the heart of their family. Whatever your definition of celebration is, I pray that the laughter is heard throughout the years as these are the moments that are recalled in the future.
On our small homestead in rural Buffalo, NY, we are busy planting, weeding, and lawn cutting, as well as enjoying sports activities, treasure hunts, and bonfires. It’s through all the checkmarks on the to-do list that I have come to realize that the most important aspect of each day is the time within it. I do not (or at least try not to) worry about what gets checked off, and I want the same for you.
