The $80,000 question you’re asking right now

The $80,000 question you’re asking right now

Free live training for Christian parents happening July 21st

If you’ve sat at the dinner table this spring with your 16, 17, or 18-year-old talking through a list of “what’s next?” options, you’re reading the right post.

A lot of families, just like yours, are considering some combination of three different options:

  1. College
  2. Apprenticeship or trades programs
  3. Discipleship training

Each path comes with pros and cons, that we’re sure you’re already actively discussing as you consider the best next step for your student:

  1. A four-year college experience that delivers a degree, but costs $80,000, doesn’t guarantee a job, and risks an unhealthy community environment for your student
  2. A residential discipleship program that goes deep on faith and like-minded community, but costs the same as a year at college and often leaves students with the same “what’s next?” question about education and vocation that they started with
  3. A career-prep program with proven, guaranteed ROI that costs half of what a year at college costs, but doesn’t integrate faith and risks the same unhealthy community as college, or possibly no community at all.

You might be feeling the pressure to just pick one, write a check, and hope it works.

But before you give into that pressure, mark your calendar for Tuesday, July 21st, at 7:30pm ET.

On July 21st, Unbound is hosting a free online training that will walk you through the framework we’ve used with more than 10,000 families to weigh the options you’re considering right now.

This free training will include the cost, the trade-offs, and a short introduction to the option that integrates faith, vocation, and education into one.
