This magazine is a part of LEAH’s ministry to home educators. Our goal is to serve homeschoolers through education, information, inspiration, encouragement, and to present a positive image of home education.

The opinions expressed by contributors within The Messenger are those of the authors, not necessarily those of LEAH. Please note that nothing in this publication should be construed as legal advice. LEAH exists to educate, inform, and serve New York State home educators. For additional information regarding the values of LEAH, please see our Statement of Faith.

Submission Guidelines
LEAH members, this is YOUR magazine. Please send your articles, letters, photos, events, and ideas to share with your fellow homeschoolers across NY. Submissions should be sent electronically, if possible, to the Editor-in-Chief.

If you wish your material returned, please include an appropriate-size self-addressed, stamped-envelope (SASE). LEAH cannot be responsible for the return of submitted material or photos without a SASE.

Article size – One page, 500-900 words

Submission Deadlines By Issue (Mailing Dates are approximately 1 month later) :
1st Quarter (Summer/Back to School): June 23
2nd Quarter (Christmas 2014): October 24
3rd Quarter (Winter/Downstate Convention/Encouragement): January 10
4th Quarter (Spring/LEAH Conference): March 20

Advertising
You are invited to advertise your products or services in our quarterly magazine, The Messenger. This popular publication is mailed to the homes of our member families across New York, and contains articles of interest and encouragement to our homeschoolers.

The Messenger exists solely to advance homeschooling and to further the educational goals of homeschooling families by providing encouragement, support, and resources. We gladly accept advertisements that support these goals. Advertisements not directly related to homeschooling, but of possible interest to homeschooling families, are accepted upon review. We reserve the right to refuse any advertisement without comment or explanation. Advertising with LEAH does not express or imply an endorsement of products or services.

To ensure placement, please submit your ads well in advance of above deadlines. (See “Submission Guidelines”)

Please include 1/2″ margins on all ads. This will ensure that no part of your ad will be cut off in the printing process.
